William Shum Elected to NY State Healthcare Trustees

The Healthcare Trustees of New York State’s (HTNYS) Board of Governors has elected Montefiore Nyack Hospital Board of Trustee William Shum for a three-year term. As a new board member of the HTNYS, Shum is one of 25 trustees representing hospitals, continuing care organizations, and health systems across New York State. Their responsibility is to provide guidance on and assist HTNYS activities and programs in strengthening the voluntary healthcare system through improved leadership and increased involvement by healthcare trustees. 

A resident of Rockland County, Shum has served on the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Board of Trustees for more than ten years. He is a member of the Finance, Audit Compliance, and Technology committees. “William has been a vocal advocate for our Hospital and our constituents,” said Mark Geller, President and CEO of Montefiore Nyack Hospital. “He is a consummate professional whose expertise and passion will certainly have an enormous effect and bring tangible results to the activities undertaken by HTNYS.”
