As an Area Trauma Center, Nyack Hospital is on the forefront of caring for people with traumatic injuries, which can include everything from vehicle accidents to sports injuries.
Trauma is a sudden potentially life-threatening injury that requires immediate and highly skilled medical attention. A designated Trauma Center provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for these severely injured patients. The Hospital’s trauma team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to quickly evaluate and treat these critically injured patients. The team members include trauma surgeons, physicians from other surgical and medical specialties, nurses, and social workers.
