Volunteers at Nyack Hospital are a diverse group of people, made up of dedicated men, women, and teenagers who give the most important gift of all – their precious time.
All volunteers at Nyack Hospital feel good about themselves because they are helping others in various ways, in both patient and non-patient areas.
Volunteers work between 4 to 40 hours per week and play a vital role in meeting the non-medical needs of our patients. Volunteer opportunities are available for both adults and teens.
Nyack Hospital encourages everyone to volunteer has opportunities that will utilize your special skills to their fullest.

Information/Reception Desk
Emergency Department
Pediatric ED
Family Waiting Room
Patient Unit
Patient Advocate
Transportation
Clerical Services
Gift Shop/Thrift Shop
Junior Volunteers
Designed specifically for volunteers 14-18 years of age
Minimum four-month commitment, four hours per week
Uniform requirements: blue golf shirt worn with tan or black pants purchased by the volunteer (no jeans)
Junior Volunteer applicants must have parental consent section of the application completed. It must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Adult Program
Open to individuals 18 and over
Minimum six month commitment, four hours per week
Uniform requirements: vest (cost:$20) or jacket (cost:$20) over solid colored pants or skirt and shirt
