Magic 8 Ball Wins Nyack Hospital’s Battle of the Bands –
Our Docs Rock!

Nyack Hospital held its first annual Battle of the Bands – Our Docs Rock! on Thursday, May 13, where four physician bands competed to be named the Nyack Hospital Band of the Year.  A variety of medical specialists played, including an orthopedic surgeon, a gastroenterologist, a neurologist, a radiologist, a hematologist/oncologist and an internist. 

Over 250 people came out to cheer on the bands - Miss Diagnosis, Magic 8 Ball, the Temple Dudes and D.A.W.  Each band’s play list included something for every music lover in the crowd, and the dance floor was filled with people grooving to the music all night long.  The bands played songs ranging from The Rolling Stones to Simon & Garfunkel and everything in between. 

When the music was over, Magic 8 Ball was chosen by the crowd as the Nyack Hospital Band of the Year   The members of the winning band Magic 8 Ball are Hematologist/Oncologist Robert March, MD on drums; Dennis Reulbach on bass/vocals, Andy Meyers on guitar/vocals and lead singer Chris Clarke. 

Proceeds from Battle of the Bands were directed towards the purchase of an additional CT scanner for Nyack Hospital.
