GIRL SCOUT TROOP DONATES TO NYACK HOSPITAL PEDIATRICS UNIT
The Pediatrics Unit at Nyack Hospital recently received a generous donation of video game systems and games from Junior Girl Scout Troop 114. This donation was made by the Girl Scouts as part of their Bronze Award Service Project. The Scouts presented a Playstation 2 system, two Nintendo Gamecubes and two Nintendo 64 systems with a variety of games to the unit, for children who require hospitalization to use during their stay.
The Girl Scout Bronze Award, the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout can earn, requires each scout to learn the leadership and planning skills necessary to follow through on a project that makes a positive impact on the community. Working towards this award demonstrates a commitment to helping others, improving the community and the world, and becoming the best she can be.
