Nyack Hospital to Host Medical Conference – “I’m Not Feeling so Well”

Nyack Hospital will host “I’m Not Feeling so Well”, a 2-day medical conference designed for Nurses, EMTs, Paramedics, as well as other mid-level healthcare providers such as Physician Assistants and Nurse-Practitioners.  This conference will be held March 1 & 2 at Nyack Hospital. 

The goal of Nyack Hospital’s First Annual Medical Conference is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the discussion of complex issues and subjects that affect the care of the sick patient.  A faculty of well recognized local and national experts in all aspects of medical care will provide the audience with their own unique perspectives on issues dealing with medical care of the adult and pediatric patient including manage­ment in the pre-hospital care setting, emergency room through discharge.

Objectives of this Medical Conference are:

1. To review and discuss the principles of adult and pediatric medical management in the pre-hospital environment
2. To review and discuss assessment and treatment of medical patients.
3. To comprehend the differences while caring for a pediatric patient
4. To review the current  advances in neurological, cardiac, vascular and pain management

15 CEU/CME’s, including 13.5 of Med Control, will be awarded.  Continuing Education Credits for EMT and AEMT from the Hudson Valley Regional will be awarded. Nursing Contact hours will be awarded by Nyack Hospital’s Staff Development Department. All lectures will be attended by the HVREMSCO Medical Director for purpose of Med. Control Hours and CIC will be present to qualify all hours for core content hours.

Nyack Hospital is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New York State Nurses Association, an accredited approval of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
