Nyack Hospital, in conjunction with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America will host a free educational program “Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Why Should I Take My Medications?” on Wednesday, April 30, at 7:00 pm at Nyack Hospital.
Designed to provide valuable information to patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals, this taped teleconference discusses the latest advances in treating inflammatory bowel disease and the importance of medication adherence. Attendees will come away with knowledge regarding:
signs and symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease
medications used to treat inflammatory bowel disease
therapy goals in treating inflammatory bowel disease
factors that contribute to medication non-adherence
Identify issues that could arise as a result of non-adherence
practical strategies to help patients adhere to medication
Nyack Hospital Gastroenterologist Elliot Heller, MD. will lead a question and answer session following the presentation.
