NYACK HOSPITAL PRESENTS FREE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM “COMING HOME: CHEMICALLY DEPENDENT INCARCERATED MEN AND WOMEN”
Nyack Hospital will host “Coming Home: Chemically Dependent Incarcerated Men and Women” - an educational program designed specifically for human service providers on April 18, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. This program will examine the experience of formerly incarcerated chemically dependent individuals, and discuss the issues, challenges, barriers and hopes for their future. Topics covered in the program include the realities faced upon returning home to communities, with specific focus on the responsibilities of human service providers when serving this population.
