Nyack Hospital & Hudson Valley Radiology Associates Host Ribbon Cutting for PET/CT Center

Hudson Valley Radiology Associates and Nyack Hospital held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its PET/CT Center.  This newly designed center, located in the Union State Bank Cancer Center, was the result of a collaborative effort between Hudson Valley Radiology Associates and Nyack Hospital to provide the highest standard of diagnostic care to patients in the community.

“With PET/CT technology, physicians have the ability to make an earlier and more accurate diagnosis, thereby implementing treatment plans in a more timely fashion,” stated Mark Geller, MD, Director, Department of Radiology at Nyack Hospital.

The PET/CT allows physicians to see and treat cancer earlier and more precisely than ever in many cases by providing a combination of both anatomic structure (CT) and metabolic function (PET) in a single image.
