Performs diverse and complex administrative duties of a Pre-Natal Clinic. Coordinate administrative operations, perform a variety of secretarial duties to include billing and accounting for the program. Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages and schedule appointments. Relate with collateral contacts (spouse, children and significant others) in a supportive role by welcoming them, answering routine questions, distributing printed materials while maintaining confidentiality according to hospital policies. Distribute and maintain supplies for department. Responsible for patient registration, verification, collection of co-pays/deductibles in, pre-certification or authorization of accounts in the absence of the Insurance Liaison. Will refer to the Insurance Liaison for assistance in payment options.
Associates degree required. Must be bi-lingual/fluent in Spanish. Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a busy medical office environment and training in office management procedures. Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, outlook. Knowledgeable in maintaining database spreadsheets and running reports
