Meet our Staff - Breast Surgical Oncologists at Nyack Hospital

Robbie Kempner, MD

Dr. Robbi Kempner is board certified, dedicated breast surgeon with many years’ experience working at academic institutions in NYC.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is the Medical Director of The Breast and Women’s Health Prevention Services Center at Nyack Hospital.

Dr. Kempner received her medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. She began her training with a General Surgery residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. She followed her Residency with a surgical specialization in Breast Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Kempner’s professional affiliations include the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group and the Medical Society of New York State.

Lawrence Simon, MD, FACS

Dr. Simon is Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 

Dr. Simon received his medical degree from Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse.  He completed his internship and residency at St. Luke's Hospital, NYC, and was a Major in the United States Air Force.  He currently serves as the Director of the Department of Surgery at Nyack Hospital and is the Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at Nyack Hospital. 

Dr. Simon has served as the President of the Rockland County Unit of the American Cancer Society, a member of the Executive Board of the Rockland County Medical Society, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Rockland County PSRO. 




Adrienne Fueg, MD, FACS

Adrienne Fueg, MD, FACS: Dr. Fueg, is a board certified surgeon who practices general surgery as well as breast and wound surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Association of Women Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Dr. Fueg received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. She completed her residency in general surgery at Lincoln Hospital/Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx, followed by a fellowship in critical care at Lincoln Hospital.

After seven years of private practice in Rockland County, Dr. Fueg worked at Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Marys, Pennsylvania for five years, before returning to Rockland County in October 2012. She currently is an attending physician at Nyack Hospital and is a surgeon at Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack.
