Welcome to The Breast Center at Nyack Hospital!  We are pleased to be the first program in Rockland County to be awarded a three-year/Full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.   Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that provide the highest level of quality breast care and that voluntarily undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.  This NAPBC accreditation recognizes Nyack Hospital’s firm commitment to offer patients every significant advantage in the battle against breast disease.

In addition, The Breast Center has been designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).The Center received this designation by receiving accreditation in all of the accreditation programs that the ACR offers- mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Only a small percentage of image centers receive this designation of excellence.  The Breast Center at Nyack Hospital has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs as determined by a peer-review evaluation conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists.

We are pleased to be the only Breast Center in Rockland County to receive these distinctions!

• A Breast Health Navigator, who helps guide newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through the diagnostic, treatment, support and education process,

• The LOGIQ® E9 ultrasound, offering an array of the newest advanced features and tools to help detect and characterize breast lesions with greater image uniformity at high frequencies,
• Image-guided interventional breast biopsy, recognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a Center of Excellence,
